September 2023 release notes

Updated user interface

Over the past year, we've been working to integrate Wattics into the EnergyCAP Energy and Sustainability ERP platform. In September, we released some user interface (UI) updates to reflect this integration.

  • Wattics is now EnergyCAP SmartAnalytics—We've updated our product name to more clearly demonstrate that you can track much more than interval data from electric meters.
  • Default branding reflects the EnergyCAP SmartAnalytics name—Instead of the Wattics logos and product name, you'll start to see EnergyCAP SmartAnalytics or sometimes ESA used instead.
  • New icons—We're transitioning to some modern icons throughout the application.

Login information is the same

Although we've changed the product name, your login pages, usernames, and passwords remain the same. Most SmartAnalytics users can continue to login here.

Updated Help documentation available in the EnergyCAP Help Center

Our application documentation has been added to the EnergyCAP Help Center—that's the home for product help across the EnergyCAP products. You can easily search for help topics, find information by category, and see all of the help articles organized by SmartAnalytics tools.

If you need to reach out to our support team, you can follow the links in the Help Center or email us at [email protected].

Operations Analyzer enhanced with GHG emissions data

In addition to calculating expected energy reductions and cost savings, the Operations Analyzer now calculates avoided greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions too! GHG emissions can be configured on sites as part of the Tariffs tool. Carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) values can be configured for each commodity and can change over time.

Measurement and Verification (M&V) projects now calculate avoided emissions

M&V projects now calculate energy reductions, cost savings, and avoided emissions. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions can be configured on sites as part of the Tariffs tool. Carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) values can be configured for each commodity and can change over time.

These settings are now used by the M&V process to calculate avoided emssions as well.
