Flag lists and flag issue lists

In the Bills module you can create flag lists and flag issue lists to view flagged bills based on the criteria you choose.

Bill flag rules

  • Each bill can only have one assigned flag.
  • Flags have a type (you can also create your own types). Audit Exception is a flag type assigned when a bill fails a configured audit. An Audit Exception flag can result in multiple issues. These issues can be assigned and resolved independently of the flag.

Flag list and flag issue list filters

To help your flag list load quickly only the most recent bills are shown with the default filter setting for Billing period set to prior month.  You can update and add additional filters at any time.

You can manage issues directly from the Flag list or Flag Issue list. When using either list, click on an issue in the Flag Issue column and the Manage Issues panel appears on the right.

From here you can manage the issue. If you need to review the bill before taking action you can use the link in the banner to open the bill in another tab or in a new window. This makes it easy to review the bill in one window and take actions on it in the other.

Update flags

When you update flags in bulk:

  • The flags may have different assignees or types and be on different bills, accounts, and vendors.
  • The updates are applied to all selected bills.
  • When you assign flags in bulk, the existing assignees are replaced with the selected assignees.

Resolve flags

When you resolve the flags in bulk this action resolves all the issues under each flag.

Assign issues

When you update flag issues in bulk:

  • The flag issues may have different assignees and be on different bills, accounts, and vendors.
  • The updates are applied to all selected bills.
  • When you assign issues in bulk, the existing assignees are replaced with the selected assignees.

Resolve issues

When you resolve issues in bulk:

  • When a flag has only one issue, resolving the issue also resolves the flag.
  • When a flag has multiple issues, the flag remains open after resolving this issue.
