EnergyCAP 7.5.5 Release Notes

The latest update to EnergyCAP (Version 7.5.5) is now available for all EnergyCAP hosted databases. This update includes improvements to report installation, flagged bill filters, the ability to edit a bill through the bill pop-out window, and a new SSRS report.

Automatic Report Installation

For all hosted clients, reports are automatically updated when a user logs in to EnergyCAP. This feature ensures all clients are up to date with the latest enhancements and new reports.

  • Default user role—When users are auto-created with a single sign-on session, this role will be assigned to new users. Additionally, this role will become the default role when creating users through the application (NOTE: This value can be changed by an administrator either during user creation or after the user has been created).
  • Default topmost place—When users are auto-created with a single sign-on session, this topmost place setting will be assigned to new users. Additionally, this setting will become the default topmost place when creating users through the application (NOTE: This value can be changed by an administrator either during user creation or after the user has been created).
  • Default topmost cost center—When users are auto-created with a single sign-on session, this topmost cost center setting will be assigned to new users. Additionally, this setting will become the default topmost cost center when creating users through the application (NOTE: This value can be changed by an administrator either during user creation or after the user has been created).

Easily Move from Dashboards to Flagged Bills

Review flagged bills and easily research items with dashboard content and bill lists. We've improved your experience as you review bill flag widgets and then navigate to flagged bills under meters, buildings, or accounts. As you click on hyperlinks to drill into more detail, you are automatically taken to the Flags tab for that object, and now the filters for this object are automatically populated to match the content from your dashboard.

Some filters may not be available on a flag list, this is indicated by a banner at the top of the Flags tab.

Easily View Held Bills

A new bill filter has been added to the Flags tab allowing you to view bills that are currently held from accounting export.

Like Filters

"Like" filters (also known as "Contains" filters) are now applied in areas where you can select multiple items. For example, assigning a user to a flagged bill, using a partial string in the Assignees box shows you all possible matches.

Manually Flag and Hold a Bill

A new option has been added that allows you to hold a bill from export at the same time you flag it.

Held bills are now marked with a yellow dot in bill lists.

Edit Bills in the Bill Pop-out Screen

Save time troubleshooting incorrect bills by using the bill pop-out feature to view and edit bills. This feature can be helpful during manual bill entry if you discover an error with a previous bill.

For example, while you are entering a bill and receive an error banner, the conflicting bill will be highlighted on the account history tab. Click on the bill and it opens in its own window allowing you to edit and save it without leaving your bill entry page.

New Report 25

Report 25 replaces the CAP11 report. The Meter Special Adjustment List report shows special adjustments for each meter.

Cost Avoidance Bug Fixes

  • Errors in how deregulated accounts were being calculated have been corrected.
  • You can now enter negative numbers for special adjustments.
