Bill images uploader

The bill image uploader helps you upload bill images in bulk and attaches them to existing bills in EnergyCAP. The bill image uploader does not send bills to Bill CAPture for processing.

This is a separate application from EnergyCAP that helps you upload images in bulk existing bills in your database.

Directions for uploading your bill images to EnergyCAP

Login to Bill Images Uploader

Use your Utility Management credentials and datasource name, to upload files at https://billimages.energycap.com/.

You can upload bills to your production or your staging/development environment.

Image name

The bill must be imported with a control code (without the file extension). The bill image PDF filename must match the control code

Example

Control code = account123_June_2024

Bill image PDF filename= account123_June_2024.pdf

Zip file requirements

• Only .zip format is allowed.

  • ❌ No .rar, .7z, or other compressed formats.

  • ❌ Renaming non-zip files with a .zip extension will not work.

• Max file size: 1 GB.

  • 📌 If your zip file is larger, split it into multiple smaller zip files.

Image file requirements (inside the zip)

• Accepted formats: .png, .jpg, .htm, .pdf.

  • ❌ Other formats are ignored.

• File names must match the type listed in your database.

• Do not use the # symbol in file names.

  • ⚠️ This will break image links.
