Commodity overview

A meter tracks resources like electricity and non-utility resources like telecom. These tracked resources or commodities are assigned to a meter when it is created.

Commodities and units

The rollup unit is the common use unit for reporting purposes. A rollup unit is required because vendors may use different units on bills.

Over 50 different commodities are available.

Two views of the vendor hierarchy

• List by Vendor to see subtotals of information by vendor.
• List by Commodity to see subtotals by commodity.
