EnergyCAP 7.5.6 release notes

The latest update to EnergyCAP Version 7 (Release 7.5.6) is now available in all EnergyCAP-hosted databases. This update includes several improvements/bug-fixes:

Default user role and topmost permissions—New options have been added to System Settings to improve the process of creating users and assigning permissions. These options are especially helpful for single sign-on customers who allow user accounts to be automatically created.

  • Default user role—When users are auto-created with a single sign-on session, this role will be assigned to new users. Additionally, this role will become the default role when creating users through the application (NOTE: This value can be changed by an administrator either during user creation or after the user has been created).
  • Default topmost place—When users are auto-created with a single sign-on session, this topmost place setting will be assigned to new users. Additionally, this setting will become the default topmost place when creating users through the application (NOTE: This value can be changed by an administrator either during user creation or after the user has been created).
  • Default topmost cost center—When users are auto-created with a single sign-on session, this topmost cost center setting will be assigned to new users. Additionally, this setting will become the default topmost cost center when creating users through the application (NOTE: This value can be changed by an administrator either during user creation or after the user has been created).

  • Improved handling of automatic building and meter groups using custom fields—When custom fields are removed from a database, groups depending on these fields are automatically updated.
  • Improved handling of long Invoice Numbers and Control Codes during bill import—If the Invoice Number field or the Control Code field are longer than the maximum allowed size (32 characters and 255 characters respectively), a more helpful error message is provided.
  • Improved handling of custom weather stations—Custom weather stations assigned to buildings will now remain assigned even if the building's properties are edited.
  • Interval data import uses latest version of channel properties—If multiple versions of a channel's properties exist, the most recent version will be used to match data during interval data import (NOTE: this situation is only possible when channels are configured in EnergyCAP Version 6 and the data is later imported with EnergyCAP Version 7).
