Meter Reading Validation (Excel only)
A version of Report-30 for Smart Analytics subscribers.
This Excel report helps you validate submeter use readings before generating chargeback bills. This report only include meters that have a bill calculation configured and reports on the channel used in the Use calculation.
What It Includes
- The latest reading for each submeter.
- Calculated submeter use for the billing period.
- Comparisons to:
- Last month’s use
- Same period last year
Purpose
Quickly identify:
- Missing data
- Unusual or questionable readings
Use this report to ensure accurate submeter charges before billing.
Report columns
The report includes the following columns of information:
- Place
- Commodity
- Meter
- Start date
- End date
- Calculated bill use
- Unit
- Calculated use/day
- Bill use same period last year
- Bill use/day same period last year
- Use/day change same period last year
- Bill use prior month
- Bill use/day prior month
- Use/day change last month

Required filters
- Date range - Select the month and year to report on.
Recommended filters
- Chargeback workflow - Select one or more workflows to include in the report.
- Chargeback workflow steps - Select one or more workflow steps to include in the report.
- Commodity - Select one or more commodities to include in the report. Not compatible with commodity category.
- Commodity category - Select one or more commodity categories to include in the report. Not compatible with the commodity filter.
- End date - Select the end date for the report.
- Meter group - Filter for specific groups, to include all the group members do not set a topmost filter. TIP: You can combine with other filters if you want to refine your results.
- Site group - Filter for specific groups, to include all the group members do not set a topmost filter. TIP: You can combine with other filters if you want to refine your results.
- Start date - Select a start date for the report.
- Topmost place code - Select the topmost organization or site you want to be included. When you set a topmost organization or site it is the highest level of the facilities tree used, this lets you select a subset of data from your tree for reporting.
- Topmost place name - Select the topmost organization or site you want to be included. When you set a topmost organization or site it is the highest level of the facilities tree used, this lets you select a subset of data from your tree for reporting.
Optional Filters
- Meter code - Filter to one or more meters. This filter is not compatible with topmost filters.
- Meter name - Filter to include one or more meters. This filter is not compatible with topmost or group filters.
- Meters in site code - Filter to include meters directly under one or more sites. TIP: To see all the meters at a certain level in your hierarchy use the Topmost place filter. This filter is not compatible with other topmost or group filters.
- Meters in site name - Filter to include meters directly under one or more sites. TIP: To see all the meters at a certain level in your hierarchy use the Topmost place filter. This filter is not compatible with other topmost or group filters.
- Route name - Filter to one or more routes to review the meter readings
