Update custom building benchmarks with a spreadsheet

This spreadsheet is a special type of setup spreadsheet that lets you create, update, or delete ALL with one file.

When you download the create spreadsheet all the columns are empty. When you download an update spreadsheet, it is the same format populated with the information from your database.

After the custom benchmarks are created you can use the spreadsheet to manage the values.

Download the update spreadsheet

The drop-down menu lists spreadsheets matching your permissions.

  1. From the Setup Spreadsheets Log, click Download.
  2. Under Update Spreadsheets, choose Custom Benchmarks.
  3. Choose your custom building benchmark to modify.
  4. Download the spreadsheet.
  5. Name format is yyyymmdd-UPDATE_PlaceBenchmarks.xlsx.
  6. Edit your information and save.
  7. Use Import to upload your spreadsheet.
  8. The Setup Spreadsheets Log reports the results and any errors. You can download the error (kickout) spreadsheet from the hyperlink, fix any errors, and upload the error sheet.
    You can add rows to this spreadsheet, choose a building from the drop-down and populate the date and benchmark values.
Available update columns are listed below.
Column Rule
Building Code Choose the building from the drop-down.
Effective Month/Period Enter the period when this value becomes effective. This column can't be updated with the spreadsheet.
Effective Year Enter the the year when this value becomes effective. This column can't be updated with the spreadsheet.
Benchmark Value Set the value for the custom benchmark.
Delete Existing Value Choose Delete from the drop-down.
