Energy project overview
Last updated July 6, 2026
Energy projects in EnergyCAP let you record and track energy efficiency initiatives—such as lighting upgrades, HVAC replacements, or building envelope improvements—at the building level. Tracking projects gives you visibility into completed and ongoing work and helps you correlate energy improvements with changes in your EUI trends.
This feature is designed for tracking impact summary data, not full project management. Project data is entered at the building level, subtotaled at the organization level, and visible on the Energy Projects tab in the Sites and Meters module.
Important notes
- This feature is for tracking impact, not full project management.
- Completed projects are shown on Energy Use Intensity (EUI) charts with a special symbol.
- Each project must have a unique name.
